Artificial Intelligence: To assist or to replace?

Artificial Intelligence or AI! The so called hotcake of current tech-world!

You already know about it. You are either interested in it or scared about it thinking the automation will take your job away. In other words, will it assist us or will it replace us?

Let's check what it actually is by doing some 'Natural Intelligence' on predicting how it will change the world.

Well, it is actually is the stage where the term computing is going to justify it's objective.

We invented computers to assist us, remember?

Oh yea, long story!

But what is the reality? What it has actually done so far apart from replacing paper work to digital work?

Nothing much!!

I am a software developer myself and I haven't done any remarkable job so far apart from storing some data from paper to binary and do some calculations on it. Honestly!

You might argue that from room-sized computers we have come a long way to hand-held smartphones. Well, that is only a small change with respect to the hardware size! Think about predicting the turnover of a startup company after two years. Can we do that with the help of existing technology? Starting a business for a fresh entrepreneur is still a risk, apart from his self-confidence which is "Natural Intelligence" there is no other helping factor to go ahead. Predicting the weather accurately is still a challenge, admit it.

That is where you require Artificial Intelligence for you.

What will it do? It will predict the outcome for you.

What you need to do? Supply the required data. No cheating here, supply the real data.
Artificial Intelligence is here to assist us to meet the challenges. You read it right, the machines are going to be our assistants, we are still the boss! No more human slaves, We are going to give justice to history. Eradication of human slavery is possible now. Machines are going to be our slaves!
Exciting to hear that we are actually going forwards, not backwards! Isn't it?

Remember those school and college days when you studied a lot of mathematics and statistics and wondered when you will actually apply those lessons in real life?

The time is now.

We must thank our scientists, teachers and those who designed our curriculum to help us survive in the future. I have serious doubt that they knew how to do time travelling. :)

So no worries, these intelligent machines are going to assist us, they are still the same input-output processing tools, nothing more.

End of the day, the winner is "Natural Intelligence" and it will stay forever as long as we preserve the "Nature".
